I guess it's about time I update you on what's been going on around here. Not a lot, honestly...just a ton of illness!!! I don't even want to get into all of the details but both of the girls have been sick since Sunday/Monday. Delaney just went back to school yesterday (Thurs) and Tinna today (Fri). Waaa-hoo! Quiet time for ME! I've been knitting...finished the "Red" project and got that in the mail today. Finished the PSU/APO scarf for Taz and got that in the mail today, also. I've started the latest BSJ (Baby Surprise Jacket) for Sarah's new baby-on-the-way...I was one of Sarah's babysitters in the mid-80s. I have one more BSJ to make after that and then I'll be on to some socks or something, I think.
I mentioned in another post that Ashley bought some yarn from Hawaii for me and it hadn't arrived yet...well, she showed up on my doorstep at 8am Wednesday morning (one of my lowest days this week) saying "I thought you needed a surprise!"
Here is my Hawaiian yarn...GORGEOUS!!! Thanks, Ash!!!
Let's see...other happenings this week...Steven and Delaney brewed up the mead and now it will sit in a quiet closet (in the bathroom) for 2 weeks. After that, it gets put in a glass carboy and must rest for at least 6 months before we can drink it. Should be ready in the fall. Yummy! We are planning to brew up a hefeweizen-style beer this week-end, too. That should be ready much sooner than the mead. I can't wait to try it!
Here are some photos of Delaney and Steven brewing up the honey for the mead...

The girls painted their nails on Monday...a nice calm, quiet activity for the sickies.
