First flurries!

We had our first snow flurries of the season today. The kids got to see it before school and had loads of fun trying to catch snowflakes on their tongues.

It was a somewhat busy day. I went to the Commissary for groceries. Stopped by Ollie's to see about an MP3 player for William (advertised for $7.99) but they were sold out already. Back home to put away the groceries and workout a little bit. Nothing too strenuous as I didn't have much time.

Ash came over after lunch and gifted me with a BEAUTIFUL pair of cashmere gloves that she got at TJ Maxx...that place rocks! Thanks, Ash!!! Now my hands will be nice and warm this winter. She helped me block the "lacy thing" today. What a pain that was. I hope it looks ok when it is dry. I'd hate to have to wash and block it again but I will if it doesn't look right. Not looking forward to washing and blocking the Pel at this point...but at least it's not lacy! I have one of Delaney's leg warmer's finished and am two stripes into the second. Might have them completed before the end of the week-end if we stay around the house. Here's hoping! I know she would like to be able to wear them with her dresses and skirts as soon as possible.

Hogwart's Leg Warmie

We had the piano tuned yesterday. I never knew it had to be taken completely apart during the process! Pretty interesting. Below you can see all of the keys and the completely "naked" piano.

My new gloves...aren't they pretty? They are soo soft!

The picture of the kids catching snowflakes on their tongues would make a great Christmas card.

Of course it would. Because I had our cards made last week and this happened yesterday. Story of my life...

Lovely gloves! And of course I have a new appreciation for the cool Hogwarts warmers! We had our first snow too, brief but lovely.
