Little flowers in the garden

It's been a few days since I've updated the blog. We haven't been particularly busy, mostly spending time outside or running around doing errands. It was HOT yesterday (~88F) and I shot a video of some of the little flowers in my garden. Tinna didn't want to be involved due to her aversion to water.

I had a headache all of yesterday. I don't get headaches very often but this one was due to the heat and air pressure I'm sure. We were due some thunderstorms, which I never heard and I'm not sure what time it started raining last night but I woke at 6:30 this morning to the sound of hard rain. Love it when it's like that. I miss having the roof directly overhead because the sound of rain on the roof is one of my favourites. At any rate, the drainage ditch is almost full and the rain is still coming down pretty hard. Not complaining as the plants really need it. If only I had a rain barrel...note to self, add that to the "honey-do" list!

Today: probably going to get some groceries after Delaney goes to school. Getting the house tidied up for company. My mother-in-law will be arriving in a day or two and man, is this place a wreck!

Below is a photo of a little frog prince I picked up at MacDonald's Garden Center the other day. I joked to my father that it will serve as a reminder to the girls that they will have to kiss a lot of frogs before they find their prince and to William that he will often BE a frog to a lot of girls before he is someone's prince. Ha!
