We've had a rather busy day today and I'm quite tired tonight. Once Delaney left for school, we ran out to Wal-Mart to get a haircut for William. I needed some groceries as well. After that, it was back to the pet store again because they haven't had frozen turtle food in stock for a few weeks now. Back home for lunch and to start laundry. Around 2, my dad reminded me that I needed to go get the oil changed in my van so I left to do that and I didn't get done at the Honda dealership until after 4:30, so that sucked up my entire afternoon. I ended up needing an oil change, engine flush, AND tire rotation and balance. (thankfully, I have that nice new iPod loaded with 14 episodes of Time Team, which is frankly, one of THE best shows in the world! you know, I was just thinking today, if I could have a "do over", I would become an archaeologist. seriously. hmmm. maybe I'll even do it after my kids are grown...or at least when they are old enough to cook and do their own laundry! wow, it's still hard to believe that day will ever arrive.) Sooo, after getting home, it was time to walk the dog and make dinner for everyone. My dad had left-over rotisserie chicken and I used some of the chicken to make quesadillas for me and the kids. I even made them with freshly shredded "Queso Fresco" that I found one day last week on a differnt trip to Wal-Mart. Yummy.
No idea of plans for tomorrow. Delaney wants to go to the Children's Museum to show Pappy the planetarium, but I'm not sure if I'm up to it. We'll see. I still have the front yard to clean up. My hands felt too bruised to rake today but they might feel better by tomorrow. My dad is leaving on Sunday morning and I'll be heading out to Liudwih's in the late afternoon to knit with other ladies in the kindred. I guess we'll call it "Boobs & Sticks" this time. Will be nice to be there since I missed last month's blot and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.
One photo and that is of Tinna climbing up the ladder yesterday. There is a movie that goes along with it but I don't have it uploaded to YouTube yet. She is a brave soul, let me tell you. You wouldn't catch me up that ladder!
