Growing up

The post in which I bore (or sicken) you about how grown up Delaney is becoming.

School starts tomorrow. First day of Kindergarten for my first born. She's the love of my life and I can't believe this day is already here. It seems like yesterday I held her in my arms for the first time and promised her I'd never leave her. What a joy she is to me.

Kindergarten. And now, boys, too. Well, we've known for sometime that she likes boys (since age 2, actually). She tells me frequently "Mama, I was born to be a boys girl." That makes me shudder. I don't want her to grow up and leave me...certainly not for a BOY. There isn't one who is good enough. But anyway, as of last week, she has a magazine photo of the Jonas Brothers Band taped to her bedroom wall. She's a pre-teen at 5. Today, we bought their CD for her. She had it playing almost as soon as we were in the house. Yesterday, she learned to body surf and hung out in the big waves without her daddy holding her. Where did the time go?

What great pictures. Guaranteed to warm the heart of any parent. Maybe make us shed a few tears, too.
