Superbowl Happiness

So the Steelers won the Superbowl...can't say how nerve-wracking that was, though. I serioulsy had my doubts that they would win. I almost turned off the tv with about 2 minutes left. But, they managed to pull it out and I wonder if it was my good-luck Steel City meal that did the trick???

That's cabbage, pierogies, and kielbasa all cooked up together. It was a new recipe and 4/5 of us found it most delicious. It's a keeper!

Yesterday in the early afternoon I had to run to Norfolk. Ashley had found an add on Craigslist for a set of hand-carders that were $25. I emailed the girl and she still had them available...what a bargain...they are brand new and retail for $56! (That's the main reason I never bought a brand new set. I never wanted to spend that much money on them because I knew they wouldn't be used an extreme amount...I do however, have a little bit of Alpaca that needs to be carded and the dog brushes I bought just aren't doing the trick!) Sooo, while we were in Norfolk, we did a bit of geocaching. Below are some photos from our afternoon.

Congrats on the Superbowl! If you had stopped at 2 mins. before the end, and the game had ended there, my son Gabe would be $500. richer! By the way, we share another passion now, in addition to Iceland...check out my blog and please welcome me to the (very large) club! Crazy weather, hmmm? By the way, I'm afraid the Iceland cam may be permanently down...
