Yay! All the way around!

Hubs is home. Thank god. No more being alone for weeks at a time and handling every single thing around the house. I know I'm strong, and honestly, I try not to complain TOO much, but these past 8 months have been difficult and I'm just glad it is finally OVER. He got home mid-afternoon yesterday...enough time to swim for an hour or so and take stock of the work that needs to be done in the garden...then it stormed and we went out for dinner at the Jumbo Buffet in Portsmouth...and it kept storming all night!

Another great thing happened yesterday...THIS (below) arrived in the mail...

From Kristin at AllSpunUp. Isn't it gorgeous? I've got two bobbins full of the brown wool right now and I'll be plying that up later today. I just might start in on this tomorrow. Not quite sure, have to wait until my spinning class tonight to see if we have any homework for next week!

Plans for today: nothing exciting. It looks rainy (yay!!!). I have normal weekly laundry to do. My MIL is in town and the house is pretty much trashed, so I need to tidy and nu nu (for those of you without children, "nu nu" is the vacuum character in the TeleTubbies...and we still call it this). As some of you know, dusting is the task I have the worst trouble accomplishing during the week. One of my friends told me to get an Ostrich feather duster. I told Sue about that while she was here and her reply was "Well, you know Shan, it won't work by itself. You actually have to hold the handle and move it around!" (Steven thought that was hilarious, btw.) I found one at Wal-Mart a few days ago and I DID move it around...it was quick...MUCH quicker than my normal lemon-oil and dust rag method. I did the entire downstairs in about 20 minutes! And the dust actually stuck to the feathers. I'm impressed. And that's about it for now.

Wonderful news. You should be really proud of having managed in a difficult situation for so long. Little kids are exhausting! I'm so happy you can parent together now.
