Scenes from Truman Homecoming

Apparently the link that I posted in yesterday's video is now of a different scene. Here is a link that I *think* will continue to have the video that Delaney and Kirin are in... http://www.hamptonroads.tv/index.cfm?locvid=139978&tid=r700&fv=1

Another busy day today, as we are having 6 trees removed from the yard. It's those yucky pines that drop pine straw and cones everywhere. It will open up the yard a bit and put more light where we need it...maybe we can even grow some grass out there now! One thing is for sure, it means way less raking for ME and that's something to be happy about!

Here are a few photos from the Truman Homecoming yesterday...I'll try to upload some video later...(and also let me say - I apologize for my dirty lens!!!)

Waiting for the ship

Some of the crowd

Famous people included: Uncle Sam's great-great-great-great-great-great-great granddaughter...

and Ronald McDonald (at which point my twins clung to my legs in complete fear!!!)

First sightings of the ship in the distance

The ship in the distance with all sailors manning the decks

Ship pulling into the pier

More sailors

And sailors with streamers (much more exciting in person)

Daddy talking to the reporters

Hugs all around!

The guy in the blue hat is a reporter and the guy with the video camera is a photographer from the paper! How funny to see people I know in your pics. =)

I just realized, I don't know your last name so I wouldn't have known if your husband was quoted in the stories anyhow!
