Ducks like rain, philosophical views of life, and something fattening

First, "Ducks like rain"...it's not just a Raffi song any longer! Taken from William's window and looking out at our front yard when it rained last week.

Is my daughter as philosophical as George Emerson in E.M. Forester's "A Room With A View"? Does she have an "eternal why"? I'm sure the answer is YES! "Why is mommy so mean?" "Why do I have to share?" And a thousand others!

Now for the fattening portion of the post...we cleaned house today. Playroom and all. I felt tired and lazy so we picked up pizza for dinner. I decided to drive by Sonic, too, because I saw an ad on the tv for .99 milkshakes. Can't beat that price! So, we went to Sonic, which should be called "Slug" or "Sloth" or some other such word to describe the slow-as-molasses service to be had in the local establishment. I ordered 4 shakes at 5:02 and they were not ready until 5:18! And then the girl forgot to bring the straws and I had to wait for her to go get them as well. Sheesh!!! While sitting, I was reading the signs and saw the entree below. Intrigued, I had to write it down just so I can make it at home and see if it is good or complete garbage like I suspect it just might be...

"Chili Cheese Wrap"

Flour tortilla filled with FRITOS, chili, and cheese. Onions optional.

Complete shit for the body but it just might taste good during a Penn State game with a Dos Equis or Corona!

And speaking of shit...I haven't worked out since last Thursday. The outside temperatures started rising and my motivation has gone downhill rapidly. I really need to live further north, in a place like, Vermont or Maine...or CANADA!!! It is just too hot in the south.

Yeah this weather is ridiculous. I sucked it up and paid to re-join the Norfolk fitness center this week ... no way I'm running in this summer heat!

Hi Pia, thanks for stopping by! I forced myself to workout this morning. Couldn't stand the thought of not doing it another day. My hubby will be home tomorrow (yay) so we will start grilling now as well! We have a lot of projects to do now that there will be two of us around the house for awhile. Enjoy your nice weather!!!
