Wii - eeeeeee!

I was in the "Dime Zone" today!!! I just couldn't have been any luckier. It started with me going to CHKD and Rose's. At CHKD I found a few books and a movie called "The Littlest Viking" which was only .75 so I got it for the kids (never heard of it before but they are sitting still through it so far and the costuming seems quite authentic and impressive to me, but I could be wrong). I didn't spend more than $6 at CHKD. At Rose's I bought two rose plants - one called "Queen Elizabeth Rose" and the other "Heirloom Rose" which is a tea rose and smells absolutely heavenly. From Rose's, I picked up the twinkies at school, came home, we had lunch and headed out to Wal-Mart. At Wal-Mart, Tinna wanted to see the plants (twist my arm, kid) and that was where I discovered the great 50% off sale. We ended up with 3 beefsteak tomato plants in their own kid-friendly growing pots for .75 each, an herb pot for Delaney $6 (herbs included), 4 4-packs of pansies averaging $1.62, 2 tulips at .60 each and a hanging strawberry plant (bag, plant included) for .98! It was absolutely incredible!

Onward through Wal-Mart to look for dog slicker brushes (none there). These are for carding my newly bought alpaca fleece (found them at Pet Smart - $5.99 each, compare to official "hand carders" online which average $50 or more for a set!). No turtle chemicals or food, either. Soooo, I thought I'd swing by the Video/Audio section to see if they had a Wii. My lucky streak continued when the lady said "We just got this shipment in about an hour ago!" OMG, I have been looking for one of these for months now. I'm totally going to KICK STEVE'S ASS on these games!!! (well, I can dream, can't I?) I paid for the Wii and headed out to get some plain white t-shirts that Delaney needs for a tie-dyeing project at school. As I walked out of the audio area, what was in front of my face but SWEENY TODD DVD's! And $3 off the normal price, too!!! Waaaaaaaaahoooooooooo!

At any rate, now I'm utterly and completely happy and all major missions are accomplished for awhile...especially since I'm now officially broke. (Until MD Sheep & Wool in May, at any rate!) We spent the afternoon planting our plants and now my back is killing me. But I'm happy and that's all that matters!

Enjoy the Wii! It's so much fun.

It must've been a day for shopping ... I bought a bunch of yarn online full well knowing that I'm going to MS&W next month!

I can't believe you didn't have the day Sweeney Todd was coming out on DVD highlighted on your calendar!
