Pappy's here!

Pappy arrived yesterday afternoon after getting lost on the way to our house. He's been down here 3 or 4 times now so I'm not sure WHY he got lost, but he did. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Still can't help laughing, because it's funny as hell to me. At any rate, he got here, unloaded his car and then we all went for a walk in the "Enchanted Forest". Later, he stayed home with Delaney and William while I took Tinna and ran to Wal-Mart, the frame store (to pick up two things I had framed), and CHKD (thrift shop). I found a ton of little skirts for Delaney at CHKD and she seemed very pleased with them when I showed her. She even put on a little fashion show for us before dinner. She is the hardest child to please when it comes to clothes and that is why I do not spend retail dollars on her clothing very often...she will tell me she LOVES an item in the store only to refuse to wear it two days later. If I'm only spending a few dollars on an outfit, then I don't get so upset if she refuses to wear it.

Today will be another busy one. Deb called me last night to see if I could come out once more to move some stuff so I'll be leaving here as soon as I think rush hour is dying down. She has to be to work by 12 so I'll be heading back home around that time...arriving to a house full of hungry people that I'll need to feed, I'm sure. Then I guess we'll be looking around the house and assigning projects to Pappy's list. I slept on the couch last night and it wasn't the best night so I'm tired already!

What an evil child you are. Laughing at your dear father because he got lost! You know, they say the mind is the first thing to go! ;-) I couldn't help myself.

I can't believe he even admitted that he got lost and didn't claim he was taking the scenic route or exploring the time/mileage on alternate routes!

Smelvin (yes, Smelvin) wants me to let everyone know he was not LOST, just TURNED AROUND. He missed the "Stay Right for 664" signs, went under the tunnel, over the bridge, and kept on going until he saw a sign that said "End 664, Begin 264" Doh!!! From there, he claims he knew where he was and just came in the back way by Lowe's. He also claims this is a faster way than coming in College/17.

A faster way? When he got there later than expected? But he knows an alternate route now! :)
