Swooning for Sweeny

Sue is here visiting me for a few days so we decided (well, let's be honest, *I* decided) to hire a babysitter for the kids and go see Sweeny Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. WOW, this is hands down the BEST movie I've ever seen! I can't stop talking about it or thinking about it. What an INCREDIBLE cast...Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman (Snape from HP) and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew from HP). Simply amazing flick. I'll be the first in line to buy it when it is released on DVD.

Let's see...after we got home from the movie, I started wiping off the inflatable Christmas yard decorations. Since it's been raining off and on for the past three days they were pretty dirty. Sue helped me take them down and get them all into the shed again. I'm so thankful for her help because I really would have struggled doing it alone. After that, it was back inside and we made fondue for dinner.

Now we're just sitting here watching TV and waiting for the ball to drop in NY so we can say "Happy New Year" and go to bed. I am starting to hear "pop" "pop" outside so folks around us are getting ready for the New Year to begin, too.

Tomorrow I promised to take the kids to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and we are also going to start taking down the inside decorations. Goodbye Yule.

Oh, my oath for the new year is to eat something raw (fruits and vegetables) every day. You'd think that would be easy but it seems like I can go days and days without eating fresh, healthy foods.

So...I'm outta here...HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!

Thats WAYYYY to many birds for me. It reminds of of the movie "The Birds" which, by the way, has kept me away from scary movies ever since

Debbie,

I saw part of that movie when I was Delaney's age and thought it was pretty cool. Unfortunately, my grandparents thought otherwise and turned off the TV. I remember crying because I wanted to watch it...but not because I was scared. The girl with the glasses getting pecked in the eyes was the best! Maybe I'll rent it one of these days...
