Christmas Synopsis

Oh my gosh, it feels like it's been FOREVER since I last updated this blog. I think I've lost my rhythm!

The past few days have been very busy. The kids have been nutters but it was nice having Grammy & Pappy visit. They spoiled all of us this year...not just with gifts but with the things they did for us here at the house. Grammy made fabric covered bulletin boards for all of the kids, Pappy made a BIG platform bird feeder for me...he even watched the kids yesterday morning while Grammy and I hit the after-Christmas sales! At Target, Grammy found me a white tree and a navy blue tree skirt so next year I'll have a PSU tree! John, Max, and Ari came to visit last night and when I told John I was having a PSU tree next year he said "That's just WRONG!" So, there you go! He even went to Penn State with me so maybe I *am* just a little over the top about how I bleed blue & white.

Nothing new on the knitting front, there just hasn't been time for it. I hope this next week will be quieter and I'll sit down more often. (On the up side, I've eaten a LOT of junk this week and my pants aren't even the slightest bit tighter so I think the standing and running around pays off in the end!)

Our party on Saturday night was a smashing success. I had a wonderful time and my house was completely clean and (mostly) uncluttered for my friends. A few friends stayed late into the evening (I got to bed around 1!)...I was sad to see them go because it had been so very long since I'd enjoyed myself quite that much. Very, very nice evening.

I had to take Henry to the vet this morning for a check up. He has had a squishy mass under his left arm-pit for a month or two now and I just haven't had the opportunity to take him to the vet. I was able to get an appointment today and get him checked before Grammy & Pappy left for PA. The vet says the mass is a fatty tumour and there's not much to worry about unless it gets larger (and hinders his walking ability) or changes consistency. I'm relieved as I didn't want him to have to undergo another surgery. The vet also checked the other site where the original tumour was located (removed in June) and it seems to still be clear, so that is good news, too.

That's about it for now. I'll post a few photos below but most are on Flickr. Photos are: little girl statue (my dad picked this out for me because he said it reminds him of how I was when I was little), plant stand I picked up at the Ross store yesterday, my dad installing the new feeder, another view of the feeder, kids making gingerbread houses on Christmas Eve.

I have to agree with John. BLEH! on the Blue and White Christmas Tree. I bet your hubbie will be able to find a nice spot in the attic next to the unpacked boxes. You can go up there every night and hold vigils to PSU.

HEY.. the Jaspers were a good team for their league. They just chose not to buy their way into the top 10. Oh wait.... I forgot... PSU paid enough to the television networks that now it's the top 12!!

The Jaspers. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! (Holding my stomach from the pain of laughing so hard)

=P Shouldn't you be doing your lying Spin Doctor work or something? All you have to do is sit around and harass me? I better be speaking to your boss about that...

*I* would have a PSU tree! I'll even send you more blue and white ornaments for it!

Yay! Someone to back me up! I'm NOT over the top after all. I have a GREAT idea for a topper, too...but I can't reveal until next Xmas. It's a good one, though, trust me! ;-)

If your topper idea is *anywhere* close to what we discussed, then the tree *will* be in the attic so the kids don't see it!
