Yep, another post about NOTHING

I didn't do much yesterday. It was hot as hell (96F) so we didn't even get out for a walk. I drove over to the Commissary after Laney got on the bus only to find it was closed. Yep. That's the fun thing about military facilities...they are almost always closed on the holiday and again the day after. SO...miffed about that...I drove back over here to Farm Fresh. While they might not be the cheapest, they have a pretty good imports section that I like to browse. Teas, biscuits, etc. It's "fun" for me to go there. (Whoo hoo. Hold on tight, folks, Shannon's having fun again at Farm Fresh!)

Back home to unload groceries, more putzing around on Ravelry (I've found this wastes hours and hours of my day). After lunch, I finally decided my kitchen floor was so disgusting that I needed to scrub it. I won't say how long it's been but it's been quite a l-o-n-g time. Floors and dusting are my two least favourite household chores. SO I did that and called Ash to see if she wanted to come over with the kids and knit for awhile. She did and that was a nice way to spend the late afternoon.

Steve had 24 hour duty yesterday, so the time before the kids went to bed seemed to last forever. There were fights and tantrums. Delaney stormed into her room and broke the chain off her ceiling light while trying to turn it on. Great. I was pissed about that but maybe Steve can fix it when he gets home tonight. Sure hope so. I really don't want to have to fork out $200 for a new light/fan for her room!

After the kids were in bed, it was nice and quiet. I wasted more time on Ravelry, walked the dog, got in bed and knitted while I watched "Tori & Dean Inn Love" (pitiful...I always hated Tori Spelling...how the hell did I get addicted to this show???), then "Living with Ed" the Ed Bagley environmental show on HGTV, then the Catherine Tate show. If you like BritWit, aren't afraid of the stray "F" word, and have BBCAmerica, I recommend you check her out. I ROLFMAO for the entire 20 minutes when I watch this. Thank you, Maureen for telling me about it!

At the moment, the sky is as gray as can be...the wind is picking up and I think it's actually going to RAIN! My yard could use a few wet days. I'll take the water and the cooler temperatures that are supposed to be here by the week-end.

I've been watching Inn Love as well! It's scary. Kind of like a train wreck. You don't want to watch but you can't look away.

I can't wait for this heat spell to break (not that it ever gets ridiculously cold here, haha)! I was so happy it rained this morning.
