Packout - Day 2

So, day 2 of our packout is complete. Thank goodness! The guys packing us were really nice and I think (hope!) they did a good job. We treated them to lunch both days (that usually helps prevent broken goods)...they told us today no one has ever treated them this nice before. How sad is that? The truck and loaders will come tomorrow. Steven spoke to the driver this morning and explained about the concert and he said he'd do his best to be here right at 7 am to begin the loading. In order to make the show on time, we have to be out of here no later than 5 pm.

Earlier today, Steven had a phone call from a classmate saying he was trying to put together a final farewell dinner tonight at Forever Fondue. Yummm! I called Kaylee down the street and left a message to see if she could babysit. She called back around 4:30 to say she could...the bad news...Tinna threw up around 4:00 while I was out picking up Delaney at school so we had to cancel on her before we could even confirm the date! SO...our best laid plans always seem to get jilted. I just hope WE don't get this virus and have to miss the concert tomorrow night!!!

Another nice thing about moving...I didn't have too much to do today. Delaney spent the entire day at school, the twins took naps, and I got to sit on the couch this afternoon and watch a really great show about the Osbournes on the E! channel. Too cool. Makes me want to go out and buy all of the seasons on DVDs. I have one or two already. I did take the twins to Wal-Mart this morning and they picked out new movies...Tinna chose Barbie Fairytopia "Magic of the Rainbow" or something like that, William chose "Arthur and the Invisibles", and I picked the complete first season of the "Addams Family" for Delaney. She LOVES the show when it's on TVLand so now I don't have to worry about catching it any longer.

That's about all for today. Oh, we got rid of our big computer desk. Steve said he thought he'd just trash it before we left here and I said "Put it on Craigslist for free and see what happens"...well...he had about 6 hits on it in the first half hour! It was gone from our house by 2 pm. Yay! It was a monster, needed more repair than we were willing to do, and sucked up quite a bit of our household weight. I was VERY glad to see it go!
