Sue and I took the kids down to Mission Beach yesterday afternoon. It was a beautiful day...blue skies, mid-70s. We left our house around 1pm and started on the 20 minute drive to get there. About 5 blocks from the beach we noticed that we couldn't really SEE the ocean for a big, misty cloud. We decided that maybe it would pass. It didn't. Well, that is to say, it didn't until about 3:20 when we decided we'd had enough of being cold and damp (I had to buy new sweatshirts for the kids and myself because I didn't bring any...heck, it was in the 70's and sunny when we left our house!...who knew it would be 65 and misty at the beach?!). Of course the kids didn't mind the cold and they cried because they didn't want to leave...as we walked to the car, the sun decided to grace us with it's presence. Go figure.
Today, it's playgroup (St Patrick's Day party) and trying to get the house/laundry caught up a bit. Tonight, we're going out for authentic Mexican food before Sue leaves for Anaheim. Tomorrow - groceries and "nu nu-ing" (vacuuming - don't you speak TeleTubbie?!). The place is a wreck.
So, I better get going...but here are a few photos I took of the kids yesterday.

Delaney loves her new shovel.

Cold twins in their matching sweatshirts. Aren't they the cutest?!

Back home after the beach...Wills being a scary monster.

Twins sharing a swing.
