Mama Mia!

"Here I go again" OMG, I'm in LOVE with this movie!!! Sue and I had a great time. Of course, she's seen the Broadway version twice so she likes that better...but this was my only experience so I'm now partial to the movie. (Not to say I'd turn down tickets to see Mama Mia! on Broadway, I wouldn't...and honestly, if we get to NYC sometime this next year, maybe Steven and I can go see it)

So...here we are after the movie...

Yesterday was jumping at our house...4 adults, 4 children...it was NUTTERS but fun! Lori, Ty, and Kirin came over to hang out. It rained, of course, because the main activity for the kids was supposed to be swimming! I cooked...Icelandic fish soup...Ty grilled the chicken...I made mint chocolate brownies for dessert. Everyone played Wii. In the end, the kids got to swim around 5:30. Lori and I looked at some pictures that I found in my mother's stuff when she died and Lori was able to identify some of the people I couldn't recognize. She's going to scan some of the photos and enlarge them and then we can put them in albums with the identifying information, etc. So, it was nice to be able to do that together.

Oh! One thing I almost forgot...Lori showed up here with containers of true Icelandic Skyr for me! SKYR!!! Yummm! Here's me. With Skyr. Life doesn't get much better. It was like a little slice of my very own heaven. It has cemented the fact in my mind that I need to live closer to Rockville MD - where the Whole Foods Market that carries this is located.

Sue just left a little while ago. I need to make a trip to Wal-Mart for a few things (the Mama Mia! movie soundtrack, mainly). It's going to be a scorcher today and tomorrow. We were supposed to go to Busch Gardens tomorrow but there's no way in hell I'm walking around that place in 99F...and since we only live an hour away, I think I'll have to pass this time and just go in the fall when the temperatures are more comfortable.

I have been spinning for Tour de Fleece. I've started in on the big bag of brown roving I have from Mary. I used yesterday as a rest day since I had so many other things going on. I was beat last night...I couldn't even stay awake to finish EastEnders!

Broadway version, yes. But not on Broadway--the touring company version. Both had their good parts. But when one of the times you see it live, you have front row seats, no matter how many times you see it again, it will never be the same!

Oh, and what you can't see in the picture and what Shannon failed to mention--Shannon is on her tiptoes and my knees are really bent so we can be the same height in the picture!

Dad was wondering how Shannon grew so tall. Now the truth is out!!!

Rose: woo-hoo! But I still would rather live near Rockville...closer to home and all of that. I really miss the mountains...Still, I'll settle for a Whole Foods closer than that for the next 4 years!
